This is a (5-11) Voluntary Controlled School occupying classrooms opened during Millennium Year in energy-efficient structure that replaces a building destroyed by fire. Although it is in adjoining Westerleigh Parish, it receives some of the intake from Frampton Cotterell.  There are approximately 200 pupils on roll in (Y1 - Y6) with an annual intake of 33. An (11-18) co-ed comprehensive school - specialist Technology College status in 1998.. 1798 pupils on roll, including a 6th Form of  300. In each year group (Y7 -Y11) are approximately 300 pupils.  Six local primary schools send majority of the Year 7 intake. (2005) Key Stage 3 (301 pupils).
