PT08 3242 F Land off Perrinpit   Perrinpit Road Change of use of land from agricultural to sports playing field (Class D2)(as defined in the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) order 2005). Formation of new vehicular access. Objection SGC has not allowed the Parish Council any extra relevant information as indicated on the letter dated 12th January 2009.  Enquiries were made with the planning department at SGC, who indicated that the Parish Council would have to obtain the information from the website.  The Parish Council having checked the website found no new documents relating to the letter.  There appears to have been no address to the main concerns which were highways and drainage problems and on that basis the Parish Council can only offer the original objection:

The Parish Council supports the Rugby Club in its search for new facilities as it provides a valuable service to the community particularly to the young people.

The Parish Council does not object to the use of the field providing there is satisfactory drainage that would not exacerbate the current drainage problems for properties and the highway.

The Parish Council objects on the following grounds:
Inadequate access to the site.
Inadequate access being on a bend.
The lack of pedestrian facilities and footway on that side of Perrinpit Road.
The lack of safe crossing points on Bristol Road.
Inadequate security for when the field is not in use.
It should be specifically for the use as stated in the application (rugby).
Concerns were raised about the turning of coaches.
Perrinpit Road is unsuitable for the amount of traffic that could be created.
Concerns were also raised about any further development on the site.

If SGC is minded to grant consent there should be a restriction on the hours
of usage.
