When you use the Google search engine at the top of our home page the results of the search are displayed within our site, i.e. with our menu still showing on the left of the page. If you click on the Google logo you will enter the main Google website which opens in a new window, giving more space for browsing.
Full Screen Viewing
To view certain pages full screen without displaying the toolbars, press the F11 key. To return to normal viewing press the F11 key again. This could be useful when running at lower resolutions, or viewing on a small screen.
Viewing the maps
If you are using one of the later versions of Internet Explorer you may be having problems reading the text on some of our maps. If you open the Advanced tab of Internet Options from the Tools menu, and then scroll down to the Multimedia section, you can try removing the tick from the 'Automatic Image Resizing' box. The maps will now display full-size and the text should be clearer. Remember that it is not advisable to alter too many of these advanced settings, as it may effect the way the program operates.
